Every defibrillator must function reliably in an emergency – after all, it's a matter of life and death. To ensure this, regular visual inspections and, depending on the operator, safety inspections every two years were previously required.
Despite these measures, problems repeatedly arose, such as empty batteries , dried-out electrodes or technical defects – and this occurred with devices from all manufacturers.
To eliminate such risks in the future, remote monitoring of defibrillators will become mandatory in Germany from 2027 onwards, according to the Medical Devices Operator Ordinance (MPBetreibV) .
This technology allows the device's condition to be checked around the clock in real time , ensuring that batteries, electrodes and technology are always ready for use – without any manual checks on site.

The technology was developed in Germany and has proven itself over many years. The devices are manufactured in China – under constant supervision and according to the highest quality standards.

Will I actually receive a defibrillator with all accessories, or is something missing from the delivery?
Don't worry, you'll receive the defibrillator with all necessary accessories! Included in the package are an emergency kit, a long-life battery, and a pair of adhesive electrodes suitable for both adults and children.
The device comes pre-set to two languages (German and English). If desired, you can assign up to four languages to the language selection button – a total of 32 language packs are available. So you're perfectly equipped!
Are the defibrillators certified, tested, and safe?
Absolutely! All our defibrillators are manufactured in accordance with the current EU MDR 2017/745 directives and bear the CE 0123 certificate. The corresponding test documentation can be provided upon request. Furthermore, we have, of course, conducted additional inspections of the devices ourselves – for maximum safety and peace of mind.
Are there any limitations in use or disadvantages compared to other models?
No, absolutely not! The entry-level Y and YA models work just as quickly and reliably as other models. They analyze the heart rhythm reliably, make correct shock decisions, and guide you step by step through the application and execution of chest compressions.
With optional accessories, such as feedback electrodes, you can even receive additional information to further improve the quality of your chest compressions. This way, you're ideally equipped for an emergency!
HeartSave Y and HeartSave YA – What is the difference?
The difference lies in the shock trigger:
- HeartSave Y : This is where manual shock delivery occurs. The defibrillator will announce: "Shock recommended. Press the illuminated shock button now!" You must therefore deliver the shock yourself.
- HeartSave YA : With this model, the shock is triggered automatically . After the announcement "Attention, shock recommended. The shock will be triggered in 3, 2, 1…", the shock is delivered automatically without any intervention from you.
Both models offer maximum safety and reliability – you decide which system better suits your needs!
What does a 4-year MedX5 service warranty mean?
With the 4-year MedX5 service guarantee, we offer you not only a defibrillator, but also comprehensive support for the device and resuscitation. This means:
- Free online training : Even though the defibrillator is self-explanatory, you will receive online training to prepare yourself in the best possible way.
- Registration with the manufacturer : We will handle the registration with the manufacturer for you as the Medical Device Safety Officer.
- Reminder service : We will remind you in good time before the battery and electrodes expire – or automatically send you the new components.
- Deployment Support : After a deployment, you will receive a free loaner device. Your defibrillator will be cleaned and disinfected by us, the deployment data will be backed up, and the device will undergo a technical inspection (STK).
- LTE connectivity and optional remote monitoring : If you choose the optional remote monitoring, your defibrillator will be connected to an IoT platform via LTE. We will register your device there and manage it for you. Your defibrillator will be monitored 24/7/365, ensuring it is always fully operational – no matter where it is.

What does "changeover" mean?
Do you have an old device that's out of warranty , has been updated multiple times , was subject to recalls , or where accessories and service costs are expensive ? Then it's time to upgrade!
Why should you pay hundreds or thousands of euros more for a comparable new device when all defibrillators are subject to the same safety standards and the new EU MDR ? A defibrillator only does what it's designed to do – and if it didn't, it wouldn't be a certified medical device.
The fact that devices are manufactured in China does not necessarily mean inferior quality or less care. If a manufacturer claims that their device contains no Asian components, this should be thoroughly investigated.
