Manual or automatic shock delivery?
Which option suits you best?
The choice between a semi-automatic and a fully automatic defibrillator depends on who will be using the AED:
For laypersons and first responders with little experience:
- Recommendation: Semi-automatic AED with manual shock delivery.
- Advantage: The user has full control, as the shock is only triggered after their own confirmation. This provides time to break contact with the patient and secure the surroundings.
For trained first aiders and professionals:
- Recommendation: Fully automatic AED with automatic shock delivery.
- Advantage: The AED saves time and delivers the shock automatically – ideal for experienced users.
For mixed or unknown user groups:
- Recommendation: Semi-automatic AED.
- Advantage: Greater safety and control, especially for inexperienced users.
Summary:
- myPAD-M: Shock is triggered by pressing the shock button.
- myPAD-A: Shock is delivered automatically.

With CPR feedback for optimal chest compressions?
The quality of cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is crucial for survival chances. Two factors are particularly important:
- Print depth: Optimal between 5 and 6 cm.
- Compression frequency: Ideally between 100 and 120 per minute.
The myPAD defibrillator is easy to use and automatically analyzes whether an electric shock is necessary. If a shock is not required, it prompts you to perform effective chest compressions.
CPR feedback sensor – your support in an emergency:
- Real-time feedback on print depth and speed.
- Clear voice prompts, e.g.: "Press deeper."
- No need for ventilation – continuous chest compressions are sufficient.
Our tip:
Take a CPR training course, online or in person, to ensure you can act safely in an emergency.
Remote monitoring for your defibrillator – Wi-Fi or LTE?
The HeartSave myPAD offers remote monitoring via Wi-Fi and LTE. Our cloud-based solution allows you to check the AED at any time and ensure it's ready for use.
Advantages of remote monitoring:
- Automatic status messages: The AED sends its readiness status after each self-test.
- Key information at a glance: Remotely check electrode expiration dates and battery capacity.
- Fast response: Push notifications inform you immediately of any problems.
- Reduced maintenance: Reduce on-site checks thanks to automated updates.
Wi-Fi or LTE – which suits you best?
- Wi-Fi:
Ideal for use with a stable local network. Requires manual adjustments for changes such as password changes. Free, but more maintenance-intensive. - LTE:
Requires only a mobile network connection. All settings are pre-configured, making the AED maintenance-free. Perfect for long-term, uncomplicated use.
Our recommendation:
LTE offers maximum flexibility, reliability and a maintenance-free connection – ideal for any environment.
A NOTICE:
From 2027 onwards, only AEDs with remote monitoring will be allowed to be sold!
