Responsibilities and training for AED operators

As the operator of an automated external defibrillator (AED), you must appoint a device or safety manager. This "caretaker":

• Controls the AED location
• Acts as a contact for manufacturers and trading partners
• Ensures the permanent operational readiness of the device

After completion, the person responsible receives an online confirmation with all relevant data.

Introduction of the MDR 2021 - MPEUAnpV

The Medical Devices EU Adaptation Regulation (MPEUAnpV), which will come into force on 26 May 2021, adapts national regulations, including the MPBetreibV, to the European Medical Devices Regulation (MDR) and regulates:

• Scope of application MDR and IVDR (in vitro diagnostics)
• Authority responsibility
• Reprocessing of single-use products

• Registration and reminder of the expiration date for batteries and electrodes
• Reminder of any required or desired STK
• On request, free defibrillator location registration on the Citizens Save Lives app from CISALI

Scope of our service

• Carrying out and documenting visual inspections
